Twitter's revenue increase during the first quarter was much less than the same period a year ago, the online social networking service report showed Tuesday.
Net revenues were up 36 percent to $595 million, compared to $436 million during the same period a year ago.
But revenues had jumped 74 percent during the first quarter of 2015, year-on-year.
The company added 310 million new users in the first three months of the year -- mostly from international users.
In addition, advertising revenue in first quarter of increased to $531 million, or 37 percent, from $388 million the first quarter last year.
