Türkiye's unemployment rate dropped to 9.2% month-on-month in August, the country’s statistical authority announced on Tuesday.

The number of unemployed people fell by 56,000 to 3.2 million in August, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).

It was a decrease from 9.4% in July and 9.8% in August 2022.

The unemployment rate was estimated 7.5% for men and 12.6% for women as of August.

Meanwhile, the number of employed people was slightly up to 31.68 million, increasing 1,000 people over the same period, it added.
