Türkiye's turnover index surged 66.8% year-on-year in May
Construction sector sees highest annual increase in turnover with 87.4%

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's total turnover index rose 66.8% year-on-year in May, the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) said on Thursday.
The index rose 87.4% for the construction sector, 80.6% for services, 65.1% for trade, and 60.4% for industry, TurkStat said.
On a monthly basis, the index rose 0.8% in May.
Broken down by sector, the construction index rose 5.7% on a monthly basis in May 2024, along with industry 1.5% and services 3.4%, while trade fell 0.7%, it added.
