Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Thursday on high note

ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Thursday at 13,078.93 points, up 1.05% from its previous close.

Starting the day at 13,062.57 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index earned 135.74 points from Wednesday's close.

The lowest value of the index was 13,047.98, while the daily high was 13,202.58.

The market value of the BIST 100 was around 12.87 trillion Turkish liras ($293.2 billion), with a trading volume of 125.9 billion liras ($2.86 billion).

Some 73 stocks on the index rose and 26 dropped, compared to the previous close.

Gold was $5,078.10 per ounce, while Brent crude oil sold for $82.9 per barrel as of 7.45 pm local time (1645GMT).

The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 43.9980, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate 51.1035, and the British pound traded for 58.7825 liras.
