Türkiye's BIST 100 index ends Monday with losses
Benchmark index loses 280.13 points on 1st transaction day of week

Türkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 10,449.36 points, down 2.61% from the previous close.
Starting the new week at 10.568,33 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 280.13 points from Friday's close.
The index's lowest value during the day was 10,406.93, while its daily high was 10,626.74.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 9.74 trillion Turkish liras ($237 billion), with a daily trading volume of 105.9 billion Turkish liras ($2.56 billion).
During the day, 92 stocks on the index fell and 8 rose compared to the previous close.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,637.40, while Brent crude oil sold for around $66.15 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate was 41.2650, the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 48.5150, and a British pound traded for 55.9380 Turkish liras.
