Türkiye sees current account surplus of $3B in September

Services post net inflow of $7.4B in September, while goods deficit at $3.1B

Türkiye sees current account surplus of $3B in September

ISTANBUL

Türkiye's current account balance posted a surplus of $2.98 billion in September, the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye (CBRT) revealed on Tuesday.

Gold-and-energy-excluded current account balance also saw net surplus of $7.7 billion in the month, the bank noted.

In September, goods deficit was at $3.1 billion, while services posted a net inflow of $7.4 billion; travel item, under services, recorded a net inflow of $5.97 billion.

Primary income saw a net outflow of $1.23 billion and secondary income recorded net outflow of $59 million in September.

Direct investment recorded net inflow of $649 million in the month.
