The Turkish benchmark stock index closed the day at 9,301.05 points on Thursday, down 1.25% from its previous close.
After starting the day at 9,426.84, the BIST 100 index lost 117.47 points from Wednesday's close.
The lowest point for the index during the day was 9,301.05, while the daily high was 9,464.67.
On Thursday, 71 indexes lost in value, while 26 closed the day with gains.
The total transaction volume reached 68.8 billion Turkish liras ($1.73 billion), while the overall value of the index was 8.49 trillion liras ($214.2 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 39.7720 as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 46.6480, and the GBP/TRY traded at 54.7555.
The price of gold was $3,322.35 per ounce, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $67.50.
