Turkish stock market down at Thursday open
BIST 100 index drops by 6.7 points from previous close

ISTANBUL
Turkiye's benchmark stock index opened at 2,057.47 points on Thursday, down 6.74 points, or 0.33%, from the previous close.
The BIST 100 index was up by 18.18 points, or 0.89%, as it closed Wednesday at 2,064.21 points, with a daily trading volume of 37.2 billion Turkish liras ($2.7 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate dropped to 13.6320 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), from 13.8040 at Wednesday's close.
The euro/lira exchange rate fell to 15.6280 from 15.7580, while a British pound traded for 18.6940 liras, down from 18.9180.
Brent crude oil sold for around $84.40 per barrel as of 10 a.m. local time (0700GMT).
