Turkish stock exchange up at Wednesday's open

ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 13,150.12 points, increasing by 0.33% or 43.14 points from the previous close.

On Tuesday, the BIST 100 fell 0.53% to close at 13,106.99 points, with a daily transaction volume of 195.1 billion Turkish liras ($4.49 billion).

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.4090 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 52.0905 to the euro, and 59.9770 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $5,268.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $66.95 per barrel.
