Turkish stock exchange starts Thursday flat

ISTANBUL 

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 12,034.94 points, slightly up 0.05% or 6.10 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, the BIST 100 slightly rose 0.04% to end at an all-time high of 12,028.84 points, with a daily transaction volume of 167.6 billion Turkish liras ($3.89 billion).


As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 43.0555 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 50.4045 to the euro, and 58.0725 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $4,433.50, while Brent crude oil was trading at $60.05 per barrel.
