Turkish stock exchange starts Thursday down
Benchmark BIST 100 index loses 26.68 points at opening bell

ISTANBUL
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,437.80 points, down 0.25% or 26.68 points from the previous close.
On Wednesday, the BIST 100 surged 1.44% to 10,464.48 points, with a daily transaction volume of 134.6 billion Turkish liras ($3.21 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), exchange rates stood at 41.8465 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 48.8975 to the euro, and 56.2275 to the British pound.
The price of an ounce of gold was $4,218.35, while Brent crude oil was trading at $62.25 per barrel.
