ANKARA
Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Wednesday at 9,730.98 points, up 0.98% or 94.86 points from the previous close.
On Tuesday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 0.25% to reach 9,636.12 points, with a daily transaction volume of 91 billion liras ($2.63 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 34.6610 as of 09.57 a.m. (0657GMT), the EUR/TRY rate stood at 36.3242, and the GBP/TRY traded at 43.5790.
The price of one ounce of gold was $2,672.01 and the price of Brent crude oil was around $72.48 per barrel.
