Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Friday at 11,346.15 points, up 0.10% or 11.10 points from the previous close.

On Thursday, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 rose 0.43%, closing at 11,335.05 points with a daily trading volume of 117.5 billion Turkish liras ($2.75 billion).

As of 9.50 am local time (0650GMT), the US dollar/Turkish lira (USD/TRY) exchange rate stood at 42.8095, the EUR/TRY rate was 50.2005, and the GBP/TRY rate was 57.3345.

The price of one ounce of gold was $4,324.75, while the barrel price of Brent oil was around $59.40.
