Türkiye’s benchmark BIST 100 index opened Friday at 12,264.61 points, up 0.42% or 51.02 points from the previous close.
The index closed Thursday up 0.75% at 12,213.58 points, with a daily transaction volume of 105.6 billion liras ($2.14 billion).
As of 09.50 am local time (0650GMT), the lira traded at 49.3430 against the US dollar, 55.3985 against the euro, and 65.3145 against the British pound.
Gold was priced at $4,196.20 per ounce, while Brent crude oil futures stood at $103.47 per barrel.
