Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Tuesday at 9,344.47 points, slightly down by 0.01% or 0.68 points from the previous close.

On Monday, the BIST 100 fell 0.12% to 9,345.15 points, with a daily transaction volume of 66.5 billion Turkish liras ($1.7 billion).

As of 9.55 am local time (0655GMT), exchange rates stood at 38.9245 liras to the US dollar, 44.3075 to the euro, and 52.7885 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,307.20, while Brent crude oil was trading at $64.20 per barrel.
