Turkish stock exchange down at midweek close
Benchmark BIST 100 index loses 30.38 points in Wednesday's closing session

ISTANBUL
Türkiye’s benchmark stock index BIST 100 closed Wednesday at 9,418.52 points, down 0.32% from the previous close.
The index, after opening the day at 9.473,60, fell 30.38 points from Tuesday’s close.
During the session, the index ranged between a low of 9,395.04 and a high of 9,484.00.
Out of all tracked indices, 59 declined, while 38 posted gains.
The daily transaction volume totaled 78.3 billion Turkish liras (approximately $1.97 billion), with the total market capitalization of the BIST 100 reaching 8.59 trillion liras ($217.2 billion).
The USD/TRY exchange rate was 39.7505 as of 6.25 p.m. local time (1525GMT), the euro/lira exchange rate stood at 46.2580, and the British pound traded at 54.1875.
The price of an ounce of gold was $3,323.80, while the barrel price of Brent oil was $66.95.
