ISTANBUL

Türkiye's benchmark stock index opened Thursday at 10,199.25 points, up 0.77% or 77.74 points from the previous close.

On Wednesday, the BIST 100 dropped 1.02% to 10,121.52 points, with a daily transaction volume of 124.1 billion Turkish liras ($3.1 billion),

As of 10 am local time (0700GMT), exchange rates stood at 40.2835 Turkish liras to the US dollar, 46.7750 to the euro, and 54.0475 to the British pound.

The price of an ounce of gold was $3,334.95, while Brent crude oil was trading at $67.85 per barrel.
