Turkish holding FIBA appoints new CEO

ISTANBUL

Turkey’s major conglomerate FIBA Group appointed a new CEO, the holding announced on Wednesday.

"Murat Ozyegin took over the leadership of the group from his father Husnu Ozyegin, the founder of FIBA Group," it said in a written statement.

Meanwhile, Aysecan Ozyegin Oktay became the vice chair of the group, the statement added.

As honorary chairman of the group, Husnu Ozyegin will continue to serve as the CEO of the group's two banks -- Fibabanka and Credit Europe Moscow.

Fiba Group is active in several areas including banking, leasing, factoring, insurance, retail trade, real estate, energy, and tourism with its domestic and international subsidiaries.
