Turkey's current account balance expected to post $2.3B surplus in October

ANKARA

Turkey’s current account balance is expected to post a surplus of $2.32 billion in October, according to an Anadolu Agency survey on Thursday.

Turkey's Central Bank will release the balance of payments data next Monday.

Forecasts of a group of 12 economists for the month ranged between $1.1 billion and $3.2 billion.

The end-2021 current account balance is projected to post a deficit of $15.3 billion, with estimates ranging between $10.5 billion and $20 billion.

In September, the country's current account deficit was $1.6 billion, bringing the 12-month rolling deficit to $18.4 billion.
