Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up 0.25% at close
BIST 100 gains over 275 points from previous close
Turkey's benchmark stock index closed the day at 112,876.05 points on Wednesday, up 0.25% from the previous close.
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index started the day at 1,639.11 points. As of the daily close, it earned 276.13 points from Tuesday's close of 112,599.92 points.
During Wednesday's trading, the index's hovered between 110,745.62 points and 112,876.53 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was around 773 billion Turkish liras ($129 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of 12 billion Turkish liras ($2 billion).
On the third transaction day of the week, 27 stocks on the index rose, 66 were down, and the remaining flat compared to Tuesday.
The highest trading volumes were posted by national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, defense giant Aselsan and state lender Halkbank.
A cement producer Bati Cimento, was the best performer, with its shares up 4.09%, while real estate investment trusts firm Alarko Gmyo dropped the most, down 3.34%.
The price of one ounce of gold was around $1,583.70 by market close, down from $1,569.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $67.66 per barrel as of 6 p.m. (1500GMT) on Wednesday.
