Turkey's Borsa Istanbul up 0.1% at Friday's close
BIST 100 index gains 1.4 points from previous close
Turkey's benchmark stock index closed at 1,419.43 points on Friday, up 0.1% from the previous close.
Starting the day at 1,424.04 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index gained 1.4 points from Thursday's close of 1,418.03 points.
The index's lowest value during the day was 1,412.23 points, while its daily high was 1,427.07 points.
The total market value of the BIST 100 was over 1.07 trillion Turkish liras ($127 billion) by market close, with a daily trading volume of more than 12 billion Turkish liras ($1.4 billion).
A total of 40 stocks on the index rose, 53 fell, and seven remained unchanged compared to Thursday's close.
The highest trading volumes were posted by Turkey's national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, private lender Garanti BBVA, and iron and steel producer Eregli.
Shares of software developer Logo performed the best, up 4.77%, while stocks of pipe and tube producer Erbosan dropped the most, 6.02%.
One ounce of gold traded for $1,764.70 by market close, down from $1,779.50 at the previous close, according to data from Borsa Istanbul's Precious Metals and Diamond Markets.
The price of Brent crude oil was around $74.82 per barrel with a 1.1% loss as of 6.50 p.m. local time (1550GMT).
