ANKARA
Turkish Economy Minister Zafer Caglayan stated on Friday, Turkey's exports increased 5.6 percent in February 2013 to 11.6 billion USD.
He added, exports in the past 12 months reached $153.6 billion according to the figures of Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM).
In a written statement, Caglayan assessed February 2013 figures of Turkey's exports which were announced by TIM's Director Mehmet Buyukeksi earlier on Friday.
Caglayan underlined that last year, Turkey's exportation broke records and no doubt this the same would be achieved this year too.
With 9.2 percent of increase, the automotive sector was ranked as first in February 2013's exports, he highlighted.
He added, Germany with $1.07 billion, took the top of the list with receiving most of the Turkish exports in February 2013 and Iraq followed Germany with 844 million USD.
After Germany and Iraq, Turkey's main partner countries for exports were United Kingdom with $665 million, Russia with $591 million and Italy with $569 million.
