The Turkish Patent and Trademark Office (TurkPatent) received a total of 32,356 trademark applications -- 28,197 of them domestic -- in the first quarter of 2019.
The number of trademark applications rose by 1.2% year-on-year in the three-month period, according to TurkPatent data released on Monday.
TurkPatent also received 4,056 patent applications -- 447 domestic and 976 foreign -- in January-March period, up 4.7% on a yearly basis.
Meanwhile, the office received 718 utility models and 11,762 design applications during the first quarter of the current year.
