ANKARA (AA) - September 5, 2012 - The number of plane traffic in Turkey rose 5.9 percent to 114,783 in August 2012 compared to the same period of last year.
Airports in Turkey in August in total served nearly 15 million people.
In the eight months of this year, the total number of plane traffic rose 4.7 percent to 728,131.
Flight statistics which were released from Directorate General of State Airports Authority noted that in August 2012 the number of passengers who used domestic lines rose 18.4 percent to 6 million 214 thousand and passengers who used international lines rose 12.5 percent to 8 million 612 thousand compared to August 2011.
