ANKARA
Istanbul is getting ready to host the Nuclear Power Plants summit for the second time on March 19 to run for two days at the Grand Cevahir Hotel in Sisli on the European side of the city.
The Anadolu Agency sponsored event will give an opportunity to companies, experts and associations active in the nuclear energy sector to meet possible investors.
The summit will have eight sessions on various topics including quality control and certification, supply chain management, inspection and nuclear safety. It will also introduce case studies from other emerging nuclear countries - the United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Jordan and Poland.
The first of the sessions will commence with international and Turkish nuclear experts sharing their knowledge and experience with attendees.
Hosting the event is the B2B Matchmaking Society, an organization that brings businesses together for possible cooperation opportunities. The society is involved in the summit to "introduce Turkish companies intending to invest in nuclear projects with experts and know how," said Koray Tuncer, B2B Matchmaking Society president.
The main companies of the two planned nuclear power plants in Turkey are due to attend the event, Tuncer said.
