ISTANBUL
Fuel prices will increase by between 30% to 70% in the United Arab Emirates by April 1, amid raising energy prices related to the ongoing tensions in the Middle East.
Prices will increase for diesel and three types of petrol, according to local media outlet Al Bayan on Tuesday.
The price of diesel will soar by around 72% to 4.69 dirhams ($1.28) from 2.72 dirhams ($0.74).
Super 98 petrol will cost 3.39 dirhams ($0.92), up 30%, and Special 95 petrol's price will increase by 32% to 3.28 dirhams ($0.89).
E-plus petrol prices will also increase by 33.3% to 3.2 dirhams ($0.87).
During the last month, oil prices rose by around 40% in the world.
