The overall export unit value and import unit value indices decreased by 6.4% and by 6.5%, respectively, in August 2012.
Turkish statistics authority, TurkStat released foreign trade indices for August 2012.
In the same month, compared to August 2011, the export unit value index for agriculture and forestry, and mining was up by 0.3% and 5.8%, respectively, while it was down in fisheries and manufacturing by 10.9% and by 6.8%, respectively, as compared with the corresponding month of the preceding year.
In August 2012, the import unit value index for agriculture and forestry, and manufacturing decreased by 5.5% while it was up for mining by 24.9%.
