Turkey's year-end overall current account deficit is projected to stand at $46.7 billion, a group of economists said on Friday.

A panel of 15 experts questioned by Anadolu Agency made the prediction ahead of the announcement of the country's 2017 current account deficit figures.

Turkey's Central Bank is expected to reveal the current account deficit on Feb. 14.

The economists also forecast that Turkey's December current account deficit will reach $7.3 billion, with the highest forecast at $7.8 billion and the lowest at $6 billion.

Turkey's current account gap in December 2016 was $4.27 billion with a 12-month rolling deficit of $32.6 billion, according to the Turkish Central Bank.
