European stocks close higher except Germany

Italy's FTSE MIB performs best with 0.96% gain; Germany's DAX declines 0.14%

European stocks close higher except Germany

ISTANBUL

European stocks closed higher Tuesday except in Germany.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 0.79 points, or 0.15%, to finish at 521.65.

The UK's FTSE 100 added 13 points, or 0.16%, to end the session at 8,428 and France's CAC 40 gained 16 points, or 0.2% to 8,225.

Italy's FTSE MIB was the best performer of the day, soaring 335 points, or 0.96%, to close at 35,151.

Spain's IBEX 35, meanwhile, increased 87 points, or 0.78%, to end the day at 11,239.

Germany's DAX 30, on the other hand, fell 25 points, or 0.14%, to finish at 18,716.
