France's CAC 40 performs worst for day, decreasing 1.27%

European stock markets close lower

ANKARA

Major indices in the European stock market closed lower on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell almost 2.78 points, or 0.59%, to close at 469.57.

London's FTSE 100 lost 11 points, or 0.15%, to end the day at 7,661. Germany's DAX 30 declined 65 points, or 0.42%, to finish at 15,425.

France's CAC 40 was the worst performer of the day, decreasing almost 90 points, or 1.27%, to end the day at 7,011 points.

Italy's FTSE MIB plummeted 224 points, or 0.82%, to end at 26,966 points.

Spain's IBEX 35 also fell 88 points, or 0.99%, to finish at 8,898.
