European stock markets close Friday higher

Italy's FTSE MIB performs best, soaring 218 points in 0.83% rise

European stock markets close Friday higher

ISTANBUL

European stock markets closed higher on Friday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, rose 1.19 points, or 0.26%, to finish at 455.17.

The UK's FTSE 100 added 4 points, or 0.05%, to end the session at 7,765.

Germany's DAX 30, meanwhile, increased 17 points, or 0.11%, to 15,150. France's CAC 40 gained one point, or 0.02%, to close at 7,097.

Italy's FTSE MIB became the best performer of the day by soaring 218 points, or 0.83%, to 26,435.

Spain's IBEX 35 increased 24 points, or 0.27%, to end the day at 9,060.
