European exchanges close with losses

ISTANBUL 

Stock exchanges in Europe closed with losses on Tuesday.

The STOXX Europe 600, which includes around 90% of the market capitalization of the European market in 17 countries, fell 2.96 points, or 0.57%, to close at 517.99.

The UK's FTSE 100 decreased 66 points, or 0.8%, to end the day at 8,219.

Germany's DAX shed 53 points, or 0.27%, to 19,478. France's CAC 40 fell 45 points, or 0.61%, to 7,511.

Italy's FTSE MIB, meanwhile, declined 90 points, or 0.26%, to finish the day at 34,925.

Spain's IBEX 35 was the worst performer of the day, losing 108 points, or 0.91%, to wrap the session up at 11,795.
