Borsa Istanbul up 0.29% at open
BIST 100 index gains around 3.2 points from previous close
Turkey's benchmark stock index opened at 1,105.89 points on Monday, rising 0.29% or 3.19 points from the previous close.
At the last week's close, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index was up 0.33% at 1,102.70 points, with a daily trading volume of 14.5 billion Turkish liras ($1.94 billion).
The US dollar/Turkish lira exchange rate rose to 7.4870 as of 9.30 a.m. local time (0630GMT), versus 7.4790 at the previous close.
The euro/Turkish lira exchange rate also increased to 8.8690 from 8.8580, while one British pound traded for 9.6200 Turkish liras, up slightly from 9.6140.
