Legendary actor Mickey Rooney dies at 93
Mickey Rooney, the child star who became a box-office legend, has died at the age of 93 from natural causes.

Born Joe Yule Junior in Brooklyn, New York, 1920, his career began at 17 months when he joined his parents' vaudeville act and true to his motto "never retire but inspire" continued working well into his 80s. During his lengthy career Rooney appeared in over 300 films and TV programs including Breakfast at Tiffany's, National Velvet, It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World and more recently Night at the Museum.
Winning two Academy Awards, an Emmy, two Golden Globes, a 1939 juvenile award and in 1983 Honorary Award, Rooney cemented himself as a huge box-office draw and star.
The Hollywood legend also enjoyed a colorful personal life that included marriage to Ava Gardner, the first of eight times he walked down the aisle.
