A group of United Nations journalists from Geneva visited Anadolu Agency headquarters in Ankara on Thursday.

During a one-week trip in Turkey, organized by the Foreign Press Association in Switzerland and Liechtenstein (APES) and supported by Turkey's Directorate General of Press and Information, some 10 journalists visited Anadolu Agency.

The UN delegation was greeted by Anadolu Agency Deputy Director-General Mustafa Ozkaya.

Ozkaya briefed the journalists on Anadolu Agency’s principles of journalism and future projects.

The journalists were also briefed on the agency’s international operations and its News Academy and the Anadolu Agency Istanbul Photo Awards, with worldwide participants applying every year.

Ozkaya also said that the agency will open offices in Beijing, China, Jakarta, Indonesia, and Bogota, Colombia, stating that the number of worldwide offices will soon reach 40.

Anadolu Agency has 35 offices worldwide and broadcasts news in 11 languages.
