Turkey's TRT World marks 6th anniversary

Turkey's international news platform TRT World marked its sixth anniversary on Friday.

In the statement, the Turkish public broadcaster said that TRT continues to improve with an objective and successful journalism approach not only in Turkey but also in the international arena.

TRT World has conveyed to its audience what has happened in all the leading regions and hot spots of the world since the day it was founded, the statement said, adding that the news channel managed to become the voice that makes a difference in global journalism.

"TRT World is six years old today. We remain passionate about news, encouraging debate, putting people at the heart of the story, and inspiring change. Happy anniversary @trtworld," Mehmet Zahid Sobaci, the director-general of TRT, said on Twitter.

Last week, the 5th edition of the TRT World Forum 2021 -- a two-day program to discuss significant topics on the world's agenda -- was held online, gathering academics, journalists, intellectuals, politicians, and members of civil society from around the globe.
