International public relation experts from around the globe met in Istanbul for the second and last day of the Global PR Summit 3 to discuss issues such as public perception and social media on Friday.
Anadolu Agency-sponsored Global PR Summit attracted numerous PR experts including the head of U.K.-based Ipsos MORI Reputation Center, Milorad Ajder.
Ajder said reputation was the most important thing that a firm needed to have, as a government could prevent a company from entering the market if it thought that the company had a bad reputation.
A business was nothing without reputability, Ajder said, adding that unreputable businesses lost the right to do business, failed to hire qualified people and most importantly, had a hard time getting customers.
Vice President and General Manager at Henkel Cosmetics, Steffen Ruebke said that content could be king, but it was the strategy regarding delivery that was of utmost importance.
Regional PR and Corporate Communications Manager for Middle East, Africa, Central Asia and South America at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Ltd., Jamal Almawed said that people formed their first opinions in just seven seconds, so it was important to be brief.
Meanwhile the PWORLD founder, Kosta Petrov, said it was a pleasure to host the Global PR Summit in Turkey.
PWORLD organizes programs about industry trends and gathers the experts from all over the world.
Global PR Summit is Turkey's biggest international PR event.
The summit was held Thursday and Friday at the historical Pera Palace Hotel in Istanbul.
