ISTANBUL
Anadolu Agency received an award for environmental journalism Tuesday from the Foundation for Environmental Protection and Utilization of Packaging Waste.
The foundation, known by the Turkish acronym CEVKO, presented the prize during the Traditional Green Dot Press Awards in Istanbul.
Huseyin Altinalan, the agency’s Istanbul News Editor, said raising awareness of climate change and pollution was one of Anadolu Agency's main missions.
“Leaving a cleaner world for future generations... is our social responsibility towards the world and our country,” he said.
