Anadolu Agency attended a two-day conference that concluded on Friday in Sydney and organized by MINDS International, an association of news agencies collaborating on the development of digital media business platforms.
The 28th conference of the association, consisting of 24 prominent news agencies from across the world, convened under the theme of 'Building Better News Agencies'.
MINDS organizes conferences for its members twice a year in one of its member’s countries.
At the meeting, which shared digital media strategies and discussed the future of international journalism, Anadolu Agency was represented by Muhammet Salih Demirkan, deputy chairman of the board, Deputy Director General Mustafa Ozkaya, and Director of Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Ural Yesil.
Hosted by Australian Associated Press (AAP), the conference discussed many topics, including media outlook, long-term strategies, copyright protection, and business and pricing models.
Participants exchanged information on change and new pricing models for news agencies and the problems that the agency journalism face, as well as holding new cooperation talks.
MINDS International was founded in September 2007 and Anadolu Agency joined the association in May 2014.
