Seoul, Ankara need to further develop economic ties: South Korean official

DAVOS, Switzerland

South Korea and Turkiye need to further develop their economic relations, said the special envoy of the South Korean president on Friday.

"I have visited Turkiye three to four times. There are many common points between Turkish and Korean peoples," Na Kyung-won told Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland.

She stressed that mutual investments and the exchange of commercial goods should be increased between the two countries.

Recalling Turkiye's help during the Korean War, she said that her country has not forgotten it.

Na, who is leading South Korea's delegation to the WEF in Davos, said that her country’s new President Yoon Seok-yeol believes in liberal democracy.
