Pilot survives Indonesia fighter jet crash
Cause of crash yet to be determined, says military official

A Indonesian fighter jet crashed in the country's western province of Riau on Monday, according to a military official
Indonesian Air Force spokesman Fajar Adriyanto said the Bae Hawk 209 fell in an area 5 kilometers (3 miles) from the Roesmin Nurjadin Air Runway in the city of Pekanbaru.
"The pilot managed to eject from the plane and survived," Adriyanto told Anadolu Agency.
"He was rushed to a military hospital for further examination," he noted, adding that the cause of the crash was still being determined.
