ISTANBUL

Myanmar’s junta leader Min Aung Hlaing arrived in the Russian capital Moscow on an official visit, state media reported on Monday.

Min Aung Hlaing’s plane landed at Moscow’s Vnukovo Airport, where he was greeted by Russian Economic Development Minister Maxim Reshetnikov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov, and representatives of Myanmar’s embassy in Moscow, state news agency TASS reported.

Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday.

According to a Kremlin statement released on Friday, the two leaders will discuss bilateral cooperation and current international issues.
