Mobile, internet services down as 9 killed amid heavy rains in Jammu and Kashmir
Heavy rains lash Doda, Reasi districts, triggering cloudburst, landslides, according to officials

ISTANBUL
At least nine people were killed while mobile and internet services were down across Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday after heavy rains hit the region.
Officials said that network outages were reported across all service providers in the region after optical fibers at multiple places were damaged as a result of the severe weather, Press Trust of India reported.
They mentioned that phone calls were not connecting and mobile internet was down on all network providers because of "fiber cuts at multiple locations."
Officials added that technical teams were sent to find the faults and fix them.
According to the officials, at least four people were killed, several structures were damaged, and many road links were washed away when a cloudburst struck Doda district on Tuesday.
In a separate incident in the Reasi district, five people were killed and 14 others injured after a landslide hit the Adhkwari area, according to officials.
Due to incessant rainfall, the authorities in the region have issued warnings of heavy to very heavy rainfall and closed schools and the main highway and issued warnings for possible floods.
The fresh deaths in the region came days after cloudbursts hit the Kathua and Kishtwar districts, killing at least 70 people, while 25 people still remain missing.
