Militants attack Indian forces in Jammu-Kashmir
Three Indian soldiers and a police officer wounded while two of the militants have been killed

SRINAGAR,
Heavily armed militants stormed an Indian Border Security Force (BSF) camp early Tuesday in disputed Jammu and Kashmir's capital.
Indian officials said three Indian soldiers and a police officer were wounded while two of the militants had been killed so far.
"We know the exact location of the attackers. The situation is under control," the Inspector General of Police in disputed Kashmir, Munir Khan, told an Indian news organization, adding that "intermittent exchanges of fire are going on and Special Forces have been called in."
According to the police officials, the attack occurred at 3.45 in the morning and two militants are still hiding in the camp.
The BSF camp guards the outer ring on one side of the air force station and the airport.
Soon after the attack, the routes leading to the airport were sealed and all morning flights were suspended.
Airport officials confirmed that around 9.30 am, they allowed passengers to enter the airport amid increased checks to resume flights.
"We have resumed operations, passengers now allowed to proceed to the airport," the director of Srinagar Airport, Sharad Kumar, told media.
Kashmir, a Muslim-majority Himalayan region, is held by India and Pakistan in parts and claimed by both in full. A small sliver of Kashmir is also held by China.
The two countries have fought three wars -- in 1948, 1965 and 1971 -- since they were partitioned in 1947, two of which were fought over Kashmir.
Kashmiri resistance groups in Jammu-Kashmir have been fighting against Indian rule for independence or for unification with neighboring Pakistan.
More than 70,000 people have reportedly been killed in the conflict since 1989. India maintains more than half a million troops in the disputed region.
