Two pilots were killed after two Robinson R22 helicopters collided mid-air in Australia on Thursday, police said.

The incident happened at around 6.20 a.m. (2020GMT, Wednesday) near Mount Anderson Station in Camballin in Western Australia, some 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) south of Derby.

Police in their assessment suggested the two cattle mustering helicopters “collided shortly after take-off.”

Only pilots were boarding the two choppers, who “died as a result of injuries received during the crash,” said the police.
