The Chinese manufacturing sector saw slightly improved conditions in September, data provider S&P Global said on Monday.
"Production expanded at the strongest rate in four months amid a further modest increase in new business," it said in a report, adding that "the decline in new export work moderated, with foreign sales falling only slightly in September."
The Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) for the manufacturing sector was 50.6, down from 51 month-on-month.
Price pressures picked up in the last month amid higher costs of raw material, while average input prices increased at the quickest degree since January, the American corporation said.
