Man injured in gunfire incident in Japan's capital

ISTANBUL 

A man was reportedly injured after gun shots were heard in Japan's capital Tokyo on Friday.

According to public broadcaster NHK, police are investigating a case of gunfire in the Machida area of Tokyo.

One person “seems to have been shot with a handgun,” the report said.

The incident happened around 8 p.m. (1100GMT).

Two men “escaped from the scene in a passenger car,” according to NHK.

Eyewitnesses at the spot heard “several gunshots.”

This is second incident in past two days.

Four people were killed on Thursday in a stabbing and shooting incident in the central Nagano province.

A suspect was detained in the incident.
