Magnitude 6.2 earthquake jolts Indonesia
No casualty, damage reports have been published yet by country's authorities
JAKARTA
An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.2 struck Indonesia’s Maluku province early Tuesday, according to the country's scientific agency.
The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) reported that the epicenter of the quake was 198 kilometers (123 miles) southeast of Central Maluku Regency and occurred 193 kilometers (119 miles) beneath the seabed.
No casualty or damage reports have been published yet by the country's authorities.
