Earthquake shakes eastern Japan
No tsunami warning issued after magnitude 5.7 earthquake off eastern Miyagi province

A magnitude 5.7 earthquake shook eastern Japan on Friday, according to reports.
The quake occurred at 1.29 am on Saturday local time (1629GMT Friday) at a depth of 40 kilometers (24.8 miles) off the eastern Miyagi province, Kyodo News reported.
The earthquake was measured at four on the country's seismic intensity scale of seven, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency.
No tsunami warning was issued.
There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
