Chopper crash in India kills 3

NEW DELHI

Three crew members died when an Indian Coast Guard Advanced Light Helicopter crashed in the western Gujarat state, according to officials.

State-owned Doordarshan News said the incident took place in the city of Porbandar on Sunday.

“The helicopter was carrying three people. Tragically, all three lost their lives in the incident,” it said.

Police officials said the incident took place during a routine training sortie and that the Indian Coast Guard is investigating the incident.
